Ra

Ra is the sun god and king of the gods, sailing the sky each day in his solar barque and passing through the underworld each night, where he battles the chaos-serpent Apophis before being reborn at dawn. Worshipped at Heliopolis, he created the first gods and ordered the cosmos. Pharaohs called themselves Sons of Ra, and he fused with other gods as Ra-Horakhty and Amun-Ra. He is shown falcon-headed crowned with the sun disk and coiled cobra. When humanity rebelled, he sent his fiery eye, the lioness Sekhmet, to punish them.
