Perseus
Sent to fetch a monster's head, a hero returns with a kingdom and a bride.
Born of Zeus and Danae and marked by a prophecy, Perseus is sent on the impossible quest to behead the Gorgon Medusa. Armed with the gifts of the gods, he slays her by her own reflection and flies home on winged sandals, rescuing the chained Andromeda from a sea-monster along the way. In the end even the prophecy he fled is grimly fulfilled.
