Winged Sandals
The enchanted sandals of Hermes, golden wings that carried their wearer through the sky.
The Talaria, or winged sandals, were the personal footwear of Hermes, allowing him to fly with the speed of thought between Olympus, earth, and the Underworld. They were lent to Perseus for his quest against Medusa, carrying him over the ocean to the Gorgons' lair and enabling his escape. The sandals represented the divine messenger's ability to travel anywhere, unrestricted by the boundaries that bound other beings.
