Seth

Seth is the god of chaos, the desert, storms, and violence, the red lord of everything beyond the ordered world. Envious of his brother Osiris, he murdered him and scattered his body across Egypt, then waged a long and brutal war with Osiris's son Horus for the throne. Yet Seth is no mere villain: each night he stands at the prow of Ra's solar barque and drives his spear into Apophis, the chaos-serpent, the only god strong enough to kill the devourer and keep the sun rising. Feared and revered at once, he is the necessary violence that guards creation even as it threatens it.
