Baldur

Baldur is the shining god, beloved son of Odin and Frigg, so fair that light seems to pour from him. Tormented by dreams of his death, his mother extracts an oath from every thing in the world not to harm him, all but the mistletoe, which she thinks too young to swear. The gods amuse themselves by hurling weapons that bounce off him harmlessly, until Loki guides blind Hodr to throw a dart of mistletoe that pierces Baldur through. He dies and goes to Hel, who agrees to release him if all things weep; one giantess, Loki in disguise, refuses, and Baldur stays among the dead until after Ragnarok.
