Apollo is the radiant Olympian of prophecy, music, healing, and the sun's light, twin brother of Artemis and son of Zeus and Leto. He slays the serpent Python to claim the oracle at Delphi and speaks the will of fate through his priestess. Lord of the lyre and the far-shooting bow, his perfection carries a cruel edge, and those who cross him, from Marsyas to Niobe, meet swift and merciless punishment.
