Medea is the granddaughter of the sun and a sorceress of fearsome power, who betrays her father and kills her own brother to help Jason win the Golden Fleece. When he later casts her aside to wed a princess, her love curdles into a vengeance so terrible she murders his bride and their own children. Brilliant and pitiless, she escapes in a chariot drawn by dragons, beyond the reach of any justice.
