Distant eastern kingdom guarding the Golden Fleece at the edge of the known world.
Colchis lay at the far eastern shore of the Black Sea, in what is now Georgia, a land of magic, sorcery, and the legendary Golden Fleece. King Aeetes kept the fleece hidden and guarded by a sleepless dragon. It was here that Jason and the Argonauts sailed, aided by the sorceress Medea, Aeetes's own daughter, to claim the greatest treasure of the age.
