Serqet

Serqet is the scorpion goddess of healing and protection, mistress of venom and its cure. Her magicians chant her spells against the stings and bites that could stop a person's breath, and she is invoked to heal the poisoned and guard the throat. In the tomb she protects the canopic jar of the intestines and watches over Qebehsenuef, son of Horus. She is shown as a woman crowned with a scorpion, its tail raised. With Isis, Nephthys, and Neith she stands as one of the four goddesses guarding the dead, and she shielded the infant Horus in the marshes of the Delta.
