Neith

Neith is one of Egypt's oldest deities, the creator and warrior goddess of Sais in the Delta. Her emblem, a shield crossed with arrows, marks her as patron of war and the hunt, and she wears the red crown of Lower Egypt. As a primordial creator she was said to have brought forth the world and even fashioned the sun god; she is also called mother of the crocodile god Sobek. In the Contendings of Horus and Seth, the gods turn to her wisdom to help settle the dispute. A weaver linked to the wrappings of mummies, she guards the dead, watching over the canopic jars with Isis, Nephthys, and Serket.
