Hypnos is the soft-winged god of sleep, dwelling in a misty cave where the river of forgetfulness flows. Gentle to gods and mortals, he can still even the mind of Zeus, which Hera once persuades him to do, lulling the king of the gods so the tide of the Trojan War might turn.
