Thiazi

Thiazi is a powerful storm-jotun, father of Skadi, who can take the shape of a vast eagle. Catching Loki on a journey, he forces him to swear to deliver the goddess Idunn and her apples of youth; Loki lures her out with promise of finer apples, and Thiazi swoops down to carry her to his hall Thrymheim. As the gods wither and grey without her fruit, they threaten Loki, who borrows Freyja's falcon cloak, turns Idunn into a nut, and flies her home. Thiazi pursues as an eagle but burns in fires the gods light atop Asgard's wall. Odin casts his eyes into the sky as stars.
