Tatenen

Tatenen is the god of the deep earth and the primordial mound, the first land to rise from the waters of chaos at creation. His name means the risen land. A god of Memphis, he embodies the fertile soil and the mineral wealth beneath it, the silt that becomes field and the rock that becomes stone for temples. Often shown as a man with a twin-plumed crown and ram's horns, his skin sometimes green for vegetation, he was merged with Ptah as Ptah-Tatenen, uniting the earth that bears creation with the craftsman who shapes it.
