Heimdall

Heimdall is the watchman of the gods, born of nine mothers and stationed at the edge of Asgard where the rainbow bridge Bifrost meets the sky. He needs less sleep than a bird, sees a hundred leagues by day or night, and hears wool growing on sheep and grass on the earth. He guards the great horn Gjallarhorn, which he will sound to wake the gods when the giants storm Bifrost at Ragnarok, where he and Loki kill each other. In the Rigsthula he wanders the world as Rig and fathers the ancestors of thralls, farmers, and nobles.
