Characters
Freya · Heimdall · Loki · Dvalin

Brisingamen, the necklace of the Brisings, is the treasure of the goddess Freya. A late tale from the Flateyjarbók, Sörla þáttr, says four dwarves forged it, among them Dvalin, and that Freya won it by spending a night with each of them; Loki then stole it at Odin's command. Snorri's Skáldskaparmál recalls Heimdall fighting Loki for it, both in the shape of seals. In the poem Thrymskvida, when Thor and Loki ask Freya to marry the giant Thrym so that Mjolnir can be recovered, her fury makes the necklace burst; Thor then wears it himself, disguised as the bride.
