Brokk

Brokk is a dwarf smith who, with his brother Eitri, forges three of the gods' greatest treasures after Loki wagers his own head that no dwarf can match the work of the Sons of Ivaldi. While Eitri works the forge, Brokk pumps the bellows nonstop as Loki, in the form of a fly, bites him to ruin the work. They make Gullinbursti, Frey's golden boar; Draupnir, Odin's self-multiplying ring; and the hammer Mjolnir, whose handle is short because the fly stung Brokk's eyelid at the last moment. The gods judge Mjolnir the finest, so Brokk wins, though Loki keeps his head by arguing his neck was never wagered.
