Vé

Ve is one of the three sons of Bor, brother to Odin and Vili, and a co-creator of the world. Together the brothers slay the primordial giant Ymir and build the cosmos from his body: the earth from his flesh, the sea from his blood, the sky from his skull, the mountains from his bones. Finding two lifeless logs on the shore, an ash and an elm, they make the first humans, Ask and Embla. Where Odin gives breath and Vili wit, Ve grants speech, hearing, sight, and the warmth of living color. His name means a sacred enclosure, a holy place.
