Min

Min is the god of fertility, male potency, and the harvest, one of the oldest deities of Egypt. He is shown standing rigid and mummiform, his flail raised behind his head and his erect phallus declaring the generative power he embodies. His great festival came at the start of the harvest, when the pharaoh ceremonially cut the first sheaf of grain in his honor to ensure the land's abundance. Lord of the eastern desert routes and patron of travellers, Min is the raw, joyful force of life pressing forward against barrenness and death.
