Gyges is one of the three Hecatoncheires, monstrous sons of Uranus and Gaia with a hundred hands and fifty heads. Freed by Zeus from imprisonment, he hurls great rocks against the Titans. Afterward he stands guard over their prison in the depths of Tartarus.
