Briareus, also called Aegaeon, is the mightiest of the three Hecatoncheires, with a hundred hands and fifty heads. When the gods once moved to bind Zeus, Thetis summoned him and his presence alone cowed them into peace. He helps overthrow the Titans and keeps watch over their prison ever after.
