Astraeus is a Titan of the evening twilight, wed to Eos the dawn. With her he fathers the four winds, Boreas, Notus, Eurus, and Zephyrus, and all the stars that wheel across the night sky. His name itself means starry, and through him the heavens are peopled with their lights.
