Telamon is the Argonaut and companion of Heracles who sails for the Golden Fleece and sacks Troy at the hero's side. King of Salamis, he fathers great Ajax, bulwark of the Greeks at Troy. With his brother Peleus he shares both glory and the exile that follows the death of their half-brother Phocus.
