Sigyn

Sigyn is the loyal wife of Loki and mother of his sons Narfi and Vali. After Loki engineers Baldr's death and is captured by the gods, they turn Vali into a wolf who tears Narfi apart, then bind Loki with his own son's entrails upon three sharp stones. Skadi fixes a venomous serpent above his face to drip poison eternally. Sigyn stands beside him holding a bowl to catch the venom; only when she turns to empty it does the poison fall on Loki, making him writhe so violently the whole earth quakes. She never abandons her post until Ragnarok.
