Naunet

Naunet is the female counterpart of Nun and one of the eight primordial deities of the Hermopolitan Ogdoad, the gods of the watery chaos before creation. Paired with Nun, she personifies the deep, still waters that existed before light, time, or land. Like the other goddesses of the Ogdoad, she is depicted as a serpent or serpent-headed, while her male partners take frog form. She is a principle rather than an actor, embodying the formless abyss out of which the first mound and the sun would eventually rise.
