Talos is the great automaton of bronze, forged to guard the island of Crete. Three times a day he strides its shores, hurling rocks at approaching ships or heating his body to crush strangers in a burning embrace. A single vein sealed by one bronze nail runs through him, and Medea's craft draws the nail to end him.
