Geryon is a monstrous giant with three heads and three joined bodies, dwelling on the far western isle of Erytheia. He guards a herd of magnificent red cattle, watched by the herdsman Eurytion and the two-headed hound Orthrus. For his tenth Labor, Heracles crosses the world, kills the dog and herdsman, and brings Geryon down with a single poisoned arrow that pierces all three bodies at once.
