Greek mythology
Trident of Poseidon
The three-pronged spear of the sea god, capable of splitting the earth and calming storms.
Like the thunderbolt, the trident was crafted by the Cyclopes for Poseidon during the great war against the Titans. With it, Poseidon could strike the earth and cause earthquakes, calm or rouse the seas, shatter cliffs, and create new islands from the ocean floor. When he competed with Athena for Athens, he struck his trident into the Acropolis and produced a saltwater spring.
