Thunderbolt of Zeus

Greek mythology

Thunderbolt of Zeus

The weapon of the king of gods, a bolt of divine lightning that none could withstand.

The thunderbolt was forged by the Cyclopes, Arges, Brontes, and Steropes, as a gift to Zeus during the Titanomachy, in gratitude for their release from Tartarus. It was not merely a weapon but the symbol of divine authority itself. When Zeus hurled it, mountains shook and seas boiled. It was said to be the most powerful weapon in existence, capable of destroying even other immortals.
