Banebdjedet

Banebdjedet is the ram god of Mendes in the Nile Delta, his name meaning the Ba, or soul, Lord of Mendes. Often shown as a ram or ram-headed man, sometimes with four heads to embody the souls of four great gods, he was revered for virile potency and creative power. In the myth of the Contendings of Horus and Set, when the divine tribunal cannot decide who should rule, Banebdjedet counsels caution and urges them to seek the wisdom of the goddess Neith before judgment. His consort was the fish goddess Hatmehit, and their son was Harpocrates, the child Horus.
